Hotel deals in Tokyo

There are no fixed “deals” to list, because rates change daily and we don't show prices. Here is how to look for savings in Tokyo, and where to compare.

When to look in Tokyo

Usually good to visit: March to May and October to November, for cherry blossom and autumn colour. Often quieter, with lower demand: January to February. Moving your dates by a few days, or staying mid-week, can change what's on offer.

Where to compare

Rates can differ a lot between areas. Popular choices:

  • Shinjuku: Major rail hub with skyscrapers, nightlife and department stores
  • Shibuya: Youth-fashion district with the famous pedestrian scramble crossing
  • Ginza: Upscale shopping and dining area close to Tokyo Station
  • Asakusa: Older district around Sensō-ji temple, with traditional shops and streets

Checklist before you book

  1. Compare at least two or three sites for the same dates and guests.
  2. Check what the total includes: taxes, city fees and breakfast.
  3. Look at the cancellation terms. A flexible rate can be worth a little more.
  4. Try nearby dates and a neighbouring area.
  5. Read recent guest reviews on the booking site itself.
