1. Who is responsible
SOLODIGITALLTD (company number 17220868, England and Wales) is the controller of your personal data. Contact: support@findmyhotel.app.
2. What we collect, and why
- Searches: the destination, check-in and check-out dates, number of guests and currency you search for, to set up your comparison and keep the service running. We do not ask you to create an account.
- Assistant messages: what you type to the assistant. Simple questions are answered by fixed rules. Other messages may be sent to our AI provider (DeepSeek) to be understood, without your email address. To answer common questions faster, we keep the assistant's answers to general questions for up to 7 days, and we keep an anonymous count of what people ask (no name, email, IP address or device information) for up to 90 days so we can improve the answers. Messages that look like they contain personal details, such as an email address, phone number or link, are never stored. Please don't type personal or sensitive details.
- Re-check reminders: your email address, the destination, dates, number of guests and your chosen frequency, so we can email you a reminder. We only email you after you confirm.
- Clicks to partners: when you click a booking link we record an anonymous click (partner, destination and time) so we can see which links are used. It holds no name, email or IP address. You then leave our site, and the hotel's or partner's own privacy policy applies.
- Connection data: your IP address is processed by Cloudflare to deliver and protect the site. We keep a short-lived counter tied to your IP address (for up to one hour, or a day for sign-up limits) to prevent abuse.
Our legal bases are: performing the service you ask for, our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and affordable, your consent for reminders (you can withdraw it at any time), and legal obligations such as accounting.
3. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies
We run no advertising and no marketing profiles, and we send no marketing emails. You choose your cookies: when you first visit, a notice lets you pick Essential only or Accept all. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookies” link in the page footer.
- Essential (always on, no consent needed): your browser stores your light or dark theme choice and your cookie choice (in local storage on your device, not sent to us); a service worker may cache pages so the app loads quickly or works offline; Cloudflare may set a security cookie or run a bot check, and Cloudflare Turnstile may be shown to check you're human. These are used only for security and for the site to work.
- Site statistics (no cookies): we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, pages and countries in aggregate so we can keep the site working well. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites and does not build a profile of you.
- Affiliate cookies (only if you choose “Accept all”): we earn commissions through Travelpayouts, an affiliate network. If you accept, we load a Travelpayouts script (called Drive) that helps credit us when you click a partner link. It runs in your browser, may process technical information such as your IP address, device and the page you viewed, and may set cookies. If you choose “Essential only”, it is not loaded. Either way, please do not type personal or sensitive details into the chat.
- Partner sites: when you follow a partner link, the partner and Travelpayouts may set their own cookies to track the booking. Their own cookie and privacy policies apply.
- Share buttons: the Facebook, Instagram, X and WhatsApp buttons in the footer are plain links. Nothing is sent to those networks, and none of their scripts are loaded, unless you click one; then that network's own privacy policy applies.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some security checks may be repeated.
4. Who else handles your data
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, caching, storage and cookieless site statistics (Web Analytics).
- Travelpayouts and booking partners: affiliate tracking when you click through.
- Resend: sending confirmation and reminder emails.
- DeepSeek: AI language processing for some assistant messages.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by UK data-protection law. We never sell your data.
5. How long we keep it
- Searches: up to 90 days.
- Unconfirmed reminder sign-ups: deleted after 3 days. Active reminders: until you stop them or the check-in date passes.
- If you stop all reminders, we keep only your email address on a “do not email” list so that we never email you again.
- Anonymous click records: up to 13 months. Anonymous assistant question counts: up to 90 days.
6. Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to its use, and ask for a copy. To stop a reminder, use the link at the bottom of any reminder email. For anything else, email support@findmyhotel.app and we'll reply within one month. If you're not happy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted. We take no payments and never see or store card numbers. We limit what we collect and who can access it, and protect the site against automated abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so if you find a problem please tell us on the Contact page.
8. Children
FindMyHotel is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We'll update the date above when this policy changes, and say so on the site if the change matters.
